A Pioneer in Chemical-resistant Technology
Building structures made of iron and concrete are all around us.
In natural surroundings, oxygen and moisture in the air and rain causes iron to rust, which, when left untreated, will degrade over time. Concrete also breaks down after a short period of exposure to mild acidic environments. This is called corrosion. Paints and other coating materials are used on buildings exposed to typical natural environments to not only retain their appearance, but also to protect them against corrosion.
However, in industrial installations and facilities, such coating must have special chemical resistant and heat resistant (chemical-resistant) properties to cope with the chemical corrosive gases and liquids, high temperatures, wear, and other rigorous conditions these facilities are exposed to. Chemical-resistant lining/coating technology refers to the process of designing and developing a highly durable protective layer through the application of anti-corrosive materials to protect iron and concrete building structures. Further, chemical-resistant FRP technology refers to the design and manufacture of composite materials incorporating high chemical resistant resins, glass fibers and carbon fibers, etc. to produce lightweight structures that also provide a level of durability similar to that of metal.
